TAKE ACTION: Stop the Combarngo Feedlot

A Development Application (DA) for a ‘material change of use’ 3,200 head cattle feedlot, situated next to the Yuleba State Forest in Queensland has been lodged with the Maranoa Regional Council.

If approved, this intensive feedlot will pose significant risks and cumulative impacts on the environment including threatened biodiversity, local water courses and ecosystems, as well as the cruel and unnatural confinement and suffering (and ultimately, the slaughter) of thousands of cattle every year.

This new feedlot application should be challenged and opposed.

The Maranoa Regional Council is accepted public submissions in response to this DA until 29th October 2020. Thanks to the 1,500+ people who joined us in speaking up for the thousands of cattle, local environment and wildlife that will all be negatively affected should this intensive feedlot be approved.

Update: March 2021 - Maranoa Regional Council approved this application, with conditions.
